Why does SRWare Iron connect to Google IPs?

I'm running stock SRWare Iron v52.0.2750.0.
I was looking at the connections the Iron makes. After opening the browser I've found there are several connections to IPs owned by Google. The same connections exist even when only a blank incognito window is open. Can someone explain why this happens, and what data is being tramsmitted please?
