Irno 17 vs Iron 44

Hello,
I saw on iron facebook page that iron 44 and these are as google and iron 17 is much better. It is safe to run 44 version?
Also i noticed iron 44 is much heavy on RAM than iron 17 vhen i have version 17 it is perfect fast and low ram.
