No longer possible to sign in

Hello,
I'm using Iron 36.0.1950.0 (285000) on Windows 7. As I have changed my password in my Google account, Iron asked me to log in again - only it no longer works. After entering the credentials I am returned to the same login page. Bookmarks etc. are no longer synchronized. Moreover, if I close the logon tab,the whole browser crashes.
Any clue what's going on, please?
