Can't watch Amazon Prime again - update didn't fix it

Hello folks,
Been using Iron v.71 for a while with user agent tweaking to watch Amazon Prime Video. Then all of a sudden, no way ("An error occurred playing this video. To get help blah blah" - approximate message, I'm translating from French here).
I thought "OK, time to update" and installed the current Iron V.74.0.3850.0: same.
I then checked that Widevine DRM hadn't vanished from chrome://components (it happened in a previous release).
It hasn't, I only notice that it's a significantly older version than the one in Chrome installed on this same machine: 4.10.1196.0 vs. 4.10.1440.18 in Chrome. A possible hint?
Trying to update it from the chrome://components page fails with "Component not updated". Is this expected?
I've even tried copying Chrome's Widevine files in a new folder named 4.10.1440.18 in C:\Users\<user>\AppData\Local\Chromium\User Data\WidevineCdm and put the older one aside. After restarting Iron, the chrome://components pages rightly lists version 4.10.1440.18 but nothing changes (I admit this was a shot at a dirty hack!)
I've also tried to change the user agent to the latest Chrome one, to no avail.
I'm stuck. Am I the only one experiencing this? (O/S is Windows 7 Pro 32-bit).
And yes, Amazon Prime videos play just fine in Chrome on that same machine, but I want my Iron...
