Hello SRWare Iron 8 that has just been released seems to have this error coming up every so often when running on Windows XP Pro SP3:

iron.exe - Unable to Locate Component

This application has failed to start because d3dx9_43.dll was not found. Re-installing the application may fix this problem.

Didn't have this problem in earlier versions of Iron.

Einfach das 0,3MB Packet laden und installieren.
I have the same problem, to download and reinstall the DirectX runtime is not a solution, the d3dx9_43.dll is a debug library, it is not included in the DirectX distribution runtime, and to install the DirectX SDK to solve this problem is like to use a canon to kill a fly.
It seems that is libGLESv2.dll who is trying to load the d3dx9_43.dll. Was GLES2 released in debug?

The download link at http://www.srware.net/software_srware_iron_download.php needs to be updated to reflect this new version of Iron for Windows. It currently states:

Date: 09/11/2010
Version: 7.0.520. 1

Iron version 8 otherwise is doing its job for me just great, just wish you would get a linux version out there soon, and it would be awesome to have a .deb package that is installable for Ubuntu

Guys, the problem with the many tabs opening in Yahoo Mail, when I click on a link, is because of the extension "Open _new & _blank in new background tab."

Is there any tweak where I can make links open in the background without needing the extension? Any help would be great.

Note: I am a middle clicker, and I am aware of the CTRL+Left Click since Firefox, but I am looking for a Middle Click solution.

Same here w33d3r...I'm staying with the latest version of 7, and have it enabled and it works great.

The GPU acceleration does have a good improvement. On the Microsoft Fist Tank I get 25 FPS, max, when I used to get 13 on 1 fish. Although the 13 were because the GPU wasn't showing in the Task Manager. I hope that it shows more improvement on that part.

Firefox 4.0.7 gives 60 on the 1 fish and keeps the 60 up to 100 fishes, due to their GPU acceleration.

The boot comparison:
1 Cold-Boot of Firefox (The one that shows up the fastest is 3.6.13) = 1 Cold-Boot from Iron + 15 Warm-Boots. :ironvsff
1 Cold-Boot of Palemoon (Optimized version of Firefox, also 3.6.13) = 1 Cold-Boot from Iron + 5 Warm-Boots. :ironvsff
1 Cold-Boot of Opera (11 Beta) = 1 Cold-Boot from Iron + 3 Warm-Boots. :ironvsopera

IRON is a QUICKLY-GET-UP-AND-GET-THE-PARTY-STARTED kind of browser.

I test it on my laptop with AMD Athon(tm) X2 Dual-Core QL-64 2.10 GHz
The current versions are better, even for the same voltage.
